Goku Hatsumi
Goku Hatsumi is Hikaru’s dad and a real estate broker who specializes in selling beach houses in Gale Beach, Ventus. He’s often seen wearing multiple neckties.
In a previous life, Goku was a “salarymon” working a corporate job in Vulcanburg. A free spirit, he eventually grew tired of his stuffy corporate lifestyle and decided to strike out on his own, flipping houses in Vulcanburg’s booming real estate market. Goku would use his keen eye for promising houses to buy on the cheap, then renovate them, moving furniture and knocking down walls with his Fighting-type upper body strength.
When Goku married Janis the Alolan Raichu, they decided to settle down in Gale Beach, and Goku shifted his focus to beachfront properties along the Ventus coast. Goku’s business is very profitable and enables him to travel a lot. But he’s only around on weekends and for special occasions like Hikaru’s high school graduation.
