We've released the PTT system as a free download!

The system was originally developed for our sister podcast Not A Scratch, the PTT system combines elements of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, D&D 5e, and Pokémon Tabletop United. In 2023, we began using the system for this show with kind permission from Anirudh, the creator of Not A Scratch, and started making customizations for our campaign. In 2026, we released our version of the system in coordination with Anirudh.

Note: This file is an Excel macro-enabled workbook (.xlsm), which is similar to a regular Excel file. You should be able to open it in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc. Please contact us on Discord if you have any issues using this file.

The PTT system is available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license. You can use it in your own campaigns, podcasts, and livestreams, or modify it for your own purposes, provided that you adhere to the following rules:

• Attribution: You must credit the authors of this work and indicate that the work is available under this license by linking to the license or to this page. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests endorsement by us.
• NonCommercial: You may not copy, distribute, or otherwise use this work for commercial purposes, including any use directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation.

The first public release of the PTT system is version 4.5. Previous versions of the system have been used internally by our co-hosts and guests, and if you listen carefully, you might hear the version numbers on past episodes of our show. However, we don't have any plans to release earlier versions of the system to the public.
